I’m Lizzie, Queen of the Lane Household, mom to 3 hyperactive boys, 4 pets (1 dog, 3 cats), and housewife to an active duty soldier. In my “spare” time, I enjoy coffee, tea, crocheting & knitting, reading, attempting to train for a marathon someday, and (of course) writing.

Previously a military language analyst, I became a full-time mother in 2017. I spent some time in and out of school, wondering what career would best suit me. I tried on a lot of different hats, but right now I’m most needed as “momma”. Sometimes, that’s a hard pill to swallow, and I talk about that in the “Real Talk” category of my blog.

When I’m not spending time with my wonderful kids and husband, I love chronicling the misadventures of navigating stay-at-home parenting with 3 crazy boys and 4 pets, keeping the kids out of my yarn stash, and trying to balance a healthy lifestyle while my kids feed me their Teddy Grahams.

I’m passionate about too many things to count, and I’m sharing that passion via this blog as a beacon for other moms who struggle to find their place in a world that is constantly telling them who they should be, how they should parent, and that no matter what they do, they aren’t good enough. It’s my hope that my blog helps even one person feel less alone.
